Certified B Corporation

Toronto, ON (October 3, 2023) - We are happy to announce Sustento Inc. is now a Certified B Corporation! Sustento Inc. creates sustainable and nutritious pet food and treats under the brand ALT-PRO Advantage.

For the past year, our team has been working to achieve this major certification. B Corporations are businesses that demonstrate the highest standards of social and environmental performance, as well as transparency about their business practices.

With B Corp certification, we demonstrate our commitment to social and environmental responsibility. Every B corp needs to undergo recertification every three years, leading to continuous improvement.

To achieve this certification, The B Lab evaluates how a company's business model and operations impact its workers, community, environment and customers. The B Impact Assessment asks questions about diversity, employee benefits, supply chain practices and more. Companies must score at least 80 out of 200 to achieve this status. 

B corp certification is an incredible milestone reaffirming Sustento Inc.'s commitment to our mission of creating more sustainable and nutritious pet food.
