Ingredients with purpose

Dried black soldier fly larvae

Excellent source of highly digestible protein and essential amino acids. BSFL also provide essential omega-6 fatty acid, linoleic acid, as well as calcium, phosphorus, iron and zinc. Plus a naturally nutty flavour dogs love!

Marine microalgae

A natural and sustainable source of long chain omega-3s (DHA) which are essential for brain development. Marine microalgae is proven to support puppies' brain development and also improve cognitive health in older dogs. 

Buckwheat

Contrary to its name, buckwheat is actually not a grain, it is a pseudocereal, which is more like a seed. Buckwheat is gluten-free and rich in dietary fibre and protein. 

Oats

Good source of energy containing β-glucans and a source of vitamin E.

Barley

Readily available source of energy and good source of dietary fiber. Barley contains β-glucans, which can lower fat and glucose levels in the blood. β-glucans can be beneficial to control or prevent obesity and diabetes. 

Pumpkin

High in fibre and beta-carotene (precursor of vitamin A).

Cranberries

Rich in antioxidants and a good source of fibre, Vitamin K, and manganese, cranberries are used to help with urinary tract health.

Blueberries

Good source of antioxidants.

Kelp

Rich in minerals and a source of iodine, kelp has higher levels of iron and copper than red meat and spinach.

Maple syrup

High in antioxidants and some minerals, especially manganese and zinc.

Yeast

Good source of protein and loaded with essential B vitamins.

Sunflower oil

Source of essential omega-6 fatty acid, linoleic acid, preserved with mixed tocopherols, a natural source of vitamin E.

Black soldier fly larvae oil

An excellent source of essential omega-6 fatty acid, linoleic acid, as well as lauric acid, a medium chain fatty acid. Omega-6 fatty acids play a role in brain function and normal growth and development. Lauric acid, which is also found in coconut oil, contains antiviral and antibacterial properties.

Flaxseed

Rich in essential omega-3 fatty acid, alpha linolenic acid. Omega-3 fatty acids help reduce inflammation in the body.

Source of antioxidants.

Coconut glycerin

Made from coconut oil. Helps the soft treats retain moisture and creates the soft texture.

Molasses

Makes a sweet treat and contains several minerals, like iron, selenium and copper.

Hemp seeds

Highly digestible protein, high in omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids which can help with your dog’s skin and coat health. Source of dietary fibre and a good source of potassium, iron and zinc

Brown rice

A nutrient dense whole grain with a low glycemic index. This gluten-free staple is packed with energy and fibre, and can help regulate blood sugar. It is also a source of manganese, B vitamins, potassium and calcium.

Sweet potato

A sweet veggie packed with beta-carotene (vitamin A precursor) which supports healthy vision. Sweet potatoes are also rich in antioxidants and fibre, which help support gut health.

Natural yeast flavour

Adds a natural yummy flavour that dogs love. Made from brewers yeast.
